William Jennings Bryan was a gifted lawer, speaker and ran for president three times.He was born on March 19, 1860 in Salem, Illinois. In 1890 he won a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives. William Jennings Bryan is a hero in the town; he is against scopes and defending the bible. Bryan’s role in the scopes monkey trial is very important, he is there to protect the bible and crucify the Darwin and the man who read it to his class. The town envy’s William Jennings Bryan.
